Elon Musk Says He Got COVID Test 4 Times in a Day: ‘Two Were Negative, Two Positive’

Inventor slams results as ‘extremely bogus’ – ‘Same machine, same test, same nurse’
Elon Musk has claimed he took four coronavirus tests in one day, with two giving positive results and two other coming back negative.
The Tesla and Space-X founder slammed the testing, declaring “something extremely bogus is going on.”
The South Africa-born investor, who has previously described lockdown measures as “fascist,” tweeted Thursday: “Was tested for covid four times today. Two tests came back negative, two came back positive. Same machine, same test, same nurse. Rapid antigen test from BD.”
The 49-year-old appeared to be referring to Becton Dickinson’s Veritor Plus system – a 15-minute rapid antigen test. Becton Dickinson is a major supplier of COVID-19 tests for the US government.
The Tesla CEO, 49, says he took the test after having the “symptoms of a typical cold.”
However, he was tested four times on the “same machine” by the “same nurse.”
Musk, who took rapid antigen tests yesterday, said he was also awaiting results from polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests from different labs.

When asked by a Twitter user if he showed any symptoms, Musk said he had experienced “nothing unusual so far.”
“If it’s happening to me, it’s happening to others. I’m getting PCR tests from separate labs. Results will take about 24 hours.” — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) November 13, 2020
If it’s happening to me, it’s happening to others,” he warned.
It is not clear if Musk has actually contracted the respiratory disease which has allegedly killed more than 248,000 Americans.
The PayPal co-founder has criticized Covid-19 restrictions and lockdowns branding them “fascist” and an infringement on individual liberty.
Musk previously said he would not get the vaccine because he was “not at risk for Covid, nor are my kids.”
Becton Dickinson, a major supplier of antigen tests, said in September it was probing reports from US nursing homes that its rapid testing equipment was producing false-positive results.
Earlier this month, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said it was alerting laboratory staff and healthcare providers that false-positive results can occur with antigen tests.
Becton Dickinson has yet to respond to Musk’s allegations.
